It is called "Endala Malleswarudu" for the reason, the presiding deity Lord Shiva is not having any temple and is straight exposed to open air in this temple. The second important aspect is that it is a single monolithic rock formation of the Linga exceeding 20 feet. As a result who ever wishes to worship has to climb up two stories and from there, water has to be poured onto the Linga. The circumference of the Linga is more or less 25-30 feet, hence a single Dhoti will not be sufficient to cover it.
It is managed by the Endowments Department of Andhra Pradesh.
As per Hindu vedic order - Lord Shiva and the family is associated with NATURE.
It is worth visiting to take the blessings of the great Lord.
